Did you ever dream that you were a dog agility super champ except then it switched and you were at some germy, grungy, derelict seaside park in the dark and the carnies were actually drug addled zombies that were shambling after you with hammers and their big teeth? And then as you're trying to escape your way out from under their oily, horrible claws by clambering up a rat infested palm tree, you're all, this is about dog agility like, how?

Things my puppy is teaching me-the funny x-pen game!
It might look like we have a quiet sedate puppy. At night we do, late at night, and then I carry her into bed. And she sleeps all night to recharge her battery for the morning. Oh jeez, the mornings... Most of the time, this kitchen headquarters is not such a lie-downy place. It's mayhem grand central, and the toys are flying and things go all poltergeist, pushed across the floor with might and force. It is a place where the rules are not jumping on the xpen and it is now a funny game that the border collie has trained me to play called jump on the xpen then flop into the down. Ha ha! Funny game!
Gustavo is the cop of this funny game. He has decided to enforce jumping on the xpen by barking in the puppy's face. I am intervening as Superior Dictator of All the Dogs and changing the rules. My Rules! No dog rules! Yikes!
Otterpop and Ruby just vanish into the other room during this game. They have dignity. They watch this from the chair, huddled up together, like a quiet council. Not sure if they are judging or not. I don't really care. Judge if you will, lady dogs. Two dogs quiet in a chair is lovely and awesome right about now. Puppies don't care if you haven't finished your coffee. Their games start NOW.

OMG Laura, they don't get any cuter than that!
I don't read your blog for a few days and then PRESTO…you have a border collie. She is cute as a button and don't worry if you ruin her, you can just switch to NMD training and she'll straighten out again. Mazel Tov on your new puppy!
and waiting to see your first drawings of this little impling!
I will have to admit that since getting a puppy, I have drawed absolutely nothing. It is hard enough to take photos of her. Forget enough time to figure out where I lost the camera, she doesn't sit still for more than a moment unless sleeping. Hopefully all the crate games stuff starts to give me a stay?
Jodi, I am scared to use NMD training yet.
Oops gotta go because she just ran by with a potted succulent in her mouth...
