Did you ever dream that you were a dog agility super champ except then it switched and you were at some germy, grungy, derelict seaside park in the dark and the carnies were actually drug addled zombies that were shambling after you with hammers and their big teeth? And then as you're trying to escape your way out from under their oily, horrible claws by clambering up a rat infested palm tree, you're all, this is about dog agility like, how?
08 June 2014
A Sunday that looked like this.
We wish every Sunday was like this. Even if there's poison oak and it was too steep and hot and there were stinging bugs and the creek was dry. We like dog shows, we like the work stuff, but we really, really, really like it when there's no place we have to go on Sundays.
All week we go places. Places before work. Work. Places after work. It's get in the car and go and try not to be late and we spend so much time going. It's good places usually. Dog practice. Dog class. Dog dog dog dog dog. Work is good, work is important. But this is how we wish we could be more of the time.
Longer daylight in June means longer days to just do this. All day. I hope your Sunday looked like this. I hope we get another one like this soon.
