But seriously, they are some of the most down-to-earth people, I have always had loads and loads of respect/love for them. And I just love the silly/random factor that infiltrates the musical part.

Yes the 90's were long ago. I went to see the Breeders at Lollapalooza #3 or #4 ('94 I think?). I was sooooo excited to see them. They walked out on stage, said the obligatory "hi"s, and launched into Divine Hammer. 30 seconds later someone pelted Kim or Kelly (I don't remember which) in the head with an empty water bottle. They stopped playing, said something to the effect of "F*&% all you guys", marched off stage and never came back. I was devastated.

I had to wait 10 years to see them play again, and it was the first time they'd played in San Diego since the "incident." They were making jokes about it, and I swear to you, it was one of my all times favorite shows ever. Just so fun, and so amazing. And they were just so darned nice. Midwest and all.

Maybe agility needs a new trend ala Manic Panic, Doc Martens and Riot Grrl sharpie tattoos?tundrahnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21924162.post-46257615864823350802010-06-28T13:53:33.849-07:002010-06-28T13:53:33.849-07:00I will download that album. I always wanted to be as Cool As Kim Deal.

I had a weird conversation with Kelly Deal in front of the beer cooler in a 7-11 a long time ago. I think she was really high.

It's weird now that the early '90's were a long, long time ago. A time of flat stomachs. Or really, it was the Final Word that did it to me, so it was more with you than at you.

At what age do we not take insults personally, even from 5 year olds? I still have a long way to go on that one.

(And you know the Breeders still put out albums every 7-10 years or so? I was just listening to Mountain Battles the other day. Lovely.)tundrahhttp://whattheagility.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.com
